Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of sisters.is and the website features, content, forms, and digital services that link to these Terms.
The website is operated by Révolutionnaire Movement Inc., operating Sisters ("Sisters," "we," "us," or "our").
Please read these Terms before using the website.
By accessing or using sisters.is, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, review these Terms with a parent or legal guardian.
1. About Sisters
Sisters is a media & live experiences company for young women and girls.
The website can include original editorial content, videos, photographs, interviews, advice, commentary, information about Sisters IRL, founder and contributor information, links to Sisters social platforms, and ways to contact or hear from Sisters.
The website will change as Sisters grows.
2. Who can use the website
The interactive portions of sisters.is that collect personal information are intended for people age 13 and older.
If you are under 13, do not submit personal information through the Connect form, Sisters IRL email signup, or other website forms.
If you are 13 to 17, you should use the website with the awareness and involvement of a parent or legal guardian, especially before submitting personal information, registering for a future event, entering an agreement, or participating in an activity that has separate terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that applicable law gives to minors or their parents or guardians.
3. Using Sisters responsibly
You agree to use sisters.is only for lawful purposes and in a way that respects Sisters, other users, contributors, participants, and third parties.
You must not use the website to break applicable law; infringe another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other legal rights; submit content that is threatening, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, or unlawful; impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, its servers, accounts, forms, or systems; interfere with the security, availability, or operation of the website; introduce malware, malicious code, automated attacks, or harmful technologies; scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically extract website content or user information except where law expressly permits it or Sisters gives written permission; use the website to send spam or unauthorized commercial messages; bypass technical restrictions or security measures; or use Sisters content, names, likenesses, or materials to falsely imply an endorsement, partnership, sponsorship, or affiliation.
4. Sisters content is editorial, not professional advice
Sisters shares stories, experiences, perspectives, conversations, and advice from a range of women, girls, contributors, founders, guests, and sources.
Those perspectives belong to the people expressing them.
Website content is provided for general informational and editorial purposes. It is not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, investment, tax, educational-placement, employment, or other regulated professional advice.
A story about what worked for one person is not a promise that the same decision or result is right for you.
When a decision requires professional advice, speak with an appropriately qualified professional and, where relevant, a parent or guardian who knows your circumstances.
5. Contacting Sisters
You can use the Connect page to contact Sisters about partnerships, press, talent and editorial, Sisters IRL, or general questions.
You are responsible for making sure the information you submit is accurate and that you have the right to provide it.
Do not submit confidential, privileged, highly sensitive, or proprietary information through the general Connect form unless Sisters specifically requests it and explains how it should be provided.
Sending a message does not guarantee a response, create a business relationship, create an agency or fiduciary relationship, or mean that Sisters has accepted a proposal or opportunity.
6. Unsolicited creative ideas & materials
Sisters works in media, editorial, live experiences, formats, partnerships, and creative development. We and people we work with can already be developing ideas, concepts, themes, formats, stories, titles, events, or projects that resemble something someone else later sends us.
For that reason, please do not send unsolicited scripts, treatments, show concepts, series formats, business concepts, creative decks, story ideas, event concepts, product concepts, or other proprietary creative materials through the general website form unless Sisters has asked you to send them.
If you send unsolicited creative material anyway, you understand that sending it does not create a confidential, fiduciary, agency, or other special relationship between you and Sisters.
This section does not give Sisters ownership of material you own. It is intended to make clear that a general unsolicited submission does not create confidentiality obligations or prevent Sisters from developing, acquiring, or publishing independently created material that is similar in theme, subject, format, or idea.
7. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the content and materials on sisters.is are owned by Sisters or used with permission from the relevant rights holder.
This includes the Sisters name and branding, Sisters World, logos, marks, graphic elements, dot treatments, website design, photographs, illustrations, video, audio, writing, interviews, graphics, layouts, compilations, and other original material.
These materials are protected by copyright, trademark, publicity, and other applicable laws.
You can access and view the website for your personal, non-commercial use.
Except where these Terms or applicable law permit it, you cannot reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license, modify, publicly display, publicly perform, create derivative works from, commercially exploit, or systematically copy Sisters content without written permission from Sisters or the relevant rights holder.
Nothing on the website transfers ownership of Sisters intellectual property to you.
8. Sharing Sisters content
We want Sisters stories to travel.
You can share links to publicly available Sisters pages through personal messages, social media, or other ordinary non-commercial sharing methods, as long as you do not alter the content, remove credits, misrepresent the source, or imply that Sisters endorses you, your organization, your product, or your views.
Embedding, republishing, licensing, commercial use, educational distribution at scale, broadcast use, or use in a branded campaign can require separate permission.

9. Names, trademarks & third-party material
The website can refer to people, companies, organizations, publications, events, products, institutions, trademarks, or third-party creative works.
Third-party names, trademarks, photographs, clips, quotations, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.
A reference, link, feature, or editorial mention does not by itself mean that a third party sponsors, endorses, or has a commercial relationship with Sisters.
10. Third-party websites & social platforms
sisters.is contains links to third-party websites and social platforms.
Sisters does not control those services and is not responsible for their availability, content, privacy practices, security, terms, products, or services.
If you follow an external link, your interaction is governed by that third party's policies and terms.
Your decision to use a third-party service is between you and that service.
11. Sisters IRL & future live experiences
Sisters IRL brings Sisters from the screen into real rooms.
Information about future Sisters IRL experiences can appear on sisters.is.
Specific events can have separate age requirements, registration terms, ticket terms, attendance rules, codes of conduct, accessibility information, releases, photography or recording notices, safety requirements, parent or guardian consent requirements, cancellation terms, and other event-specific conditions.
Those specific terms will control for the relevant event if they conflict with these general website Terms.
An event listing is not a guarantee that an event will take place exactly as first described. Dates, venues, speakers, talent, schedules, capacity, and other event details can change for operational, safety, contractual, legal, or other legitimate reasons.
Where Sisters sells or distributes tickets or registrations in the future, the specific purchase or registration terms will explain the applicable cancellation, transfer, refund, and attendance rules.
12. Photography, video & participation
Simply visiting sisters.is does not give Sisters rights to your image, voice, or likeness.
If you participate in a Sisters production, interview, event, shoot, recording, or other activity where Sisters wants permission to record or publish your image, voice, likeness, performance, or contribution, the relevant release, consent form, registration terms, or event notice will govern those rights.
For participants under 18, Sisters can require parent or legal guardian involvement and age-appropriate consent documents.
13. Accuracy & availability
We work to keep sisters.is accurate and current.
Media, cultural information, professional titles, event details, links, contributor information, and other facts can change over time.
Sisters does not promise that every page will always be complete, error-free, current, or continuously available.
We can correct, update, remove, reorganize, or change website content when needed.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Sisters handles personal information collected through sisters.is.
By using the website, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review the Privacy Policy.
15. Accessibility
Sisters wants sisters.is to be usable for as many people as possible.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, email hi@sisters.is and tell us what happened.

16. Copyright concerns
Sisters respects intellectual property rights.
If you believe material available through sisters.is infringes copyright or another intellectual-property right you own or are authorized to enforce, contact hi@sisters.is with the subject line Copyright Concern.
Your notice should identify the work you believe is protected, identify the material on sisters.is that concerns you, explain where that material appears, provide your contact information, and explain the basis for your request.
Sisters can request additional information reasonably needed to review the issue.
If Sisters appoints and registers a formal DMCA agent, the website will provide the current designated-agent information required for that process.
17. Website security
You must not attempt to test, probe, circumvent, damage, disable, overload, or gain unauthorized access to sisters.is or systems connected with the website.
If you discover a security concern, please report it to hi@sisters.is instead of exploiting it or disclosing personal information obtained through it.
18. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, sisters.is and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Sisters does not make warranties, express or implied, regarding the website's uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, completeness, accuracy, security, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, or results obtained from using the website.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those jurisdictions, these exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that applicable law does not allow Sisters to exclude.
19. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sisters and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, and licensors will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or connected with your access to or use of sisters.is, your inability to access the website, third-party websites or services, unauthorized access caused by matters outside Sisters' reasonable control, or reliance on general editorial content as professional advice.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where applicable law does not permit that exclusion or limitation, including liability that cannot legally be waived.
If you are a consumer, you retain all rights and remedies that applicable consumer-protection law gives you.
20. Your responsibility for misuse
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for losses, claims, or expenses caused by your intentional unlawful misuse of sisters.is, your infringement of another person's rights through the website, or content you submit without the necessary rights or permissions.
This section does not require a minor to assume liability that applicable law does not permit, and it does not remove any protection available to consumers under applicable law.
21. Suspension or restriction of access
Sisters can restrict or suspend access to website features when reasonably necessary to address unlawful conduct, security concerns, abuse, interference with the website, violations of these Terms, or legal requirements.
Termination or restriction does not affect provisions of these Terms that logically continue after access ends, including intellectual-property protections, disclaimers, and limitations that remain enforceable.
22. Changes to sisters.is
Sisters can add, remove, change, pause, or discontinue website features or content.
We do not promise that any particular page, format, story, event feature, or website function will remain available indefinitely.
23. Changes to these Terms
We can update these Terms as Sisters, the website, or applicable requirements change.
When we update them, we will post the revised Terms and update the "Last updated" date.
If a change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it.
Your continued use of sisters.is after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
24. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires another result.
You and Sisters agree that any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the courts of the Province of Ontario, and you and Sisters attorn to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from using rights or remedies that applicable law does not permit these Terms to waive, including the right to bring a claim in the consumer's own province or state where applicable law requires it.
25. Force majeure
Sisters will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform an obligation when the delay or failure results from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including health emergencies, natural disasters, severe weather, fire, war, terrorism, civil unrest, public-health emergencies, labor disruptions, transportation failures, utility or communications failures, government actions, venue closures, or widespread technology outages.
This section does not remove rights that applicable law does not permit Sisters to exclude.
26. Assignment
You cannot transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to another person without Sisters' written consent.
Sisters can transfer these Terms as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, sale, acquisition, transfer of business assets, or other corporate transaction, subject to applicable law.
27. Severability
If a court or other authority finds part of these Terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
28. No waiver
If Sisters does not enforce a provision of these Terms in one situation, that does not mean Sisters has waived the right to enforce it later.
29. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms that expressly apply to a particular Sisters feature or experience, form the agreement governing your use of sisters.is.
Event terms, releases, registrations, licenses, partnership agreements, production agreements, or other separate written agreements can govern specific relationships or activities.
If a separately signed agreement between you and Sisters conflicts with these website Terms regarding the subject covered by that agreement, the separately signed agreement controls for that subject.
